I started dancing at 2.5 doing Ballet. Competed from 8yrs-16yrs in Old Time Dancing. Ballroom + Latin from 17 yrs, because this was the only place I could find a man tall enough to dance with :)

How long have you been dancing for and how did you get into it?
I've been dancing since the tender age of 2½. I studied Ballroom & Latin American, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Flamenco, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Street Jazz and Zumba.I have been teaching since I qualified at the age of 17, and it has been my full time job since I graduated university with a BA Hons in Drama and Business.

38 years. After starting at the County in elocution lesson I decided to start in the ballroom and latin classes.

How long have you been dancing for and how did you get into it?
63 years ! Since the age of 3. My mother took me to ballet classes and then she took over the dancing school in 1957 - I started teaching at 17 years of age.
What is your favourite dance and why?
Foxtrot - as I love the music. Waltz as it shows all elements - rise & fall, creating lines, slow and fast actions. Rumba - the music again and the classical actions. Cha-cha - Probably the easy and exciting one to teach.

What is your favourite dance and why?
Tango, because people are so thrilled to dance round floor after learning a few steps.

31 years. My Parents took lessons and classes with Mary at the school and thought it would be good to join the childrens Saturday morning class.

About 40 years. Started as a social dancer then took medals, entered medalist competitions and eventually become an open competition at amateur level. I was then persuaded that I would make a good teacher and turned professional when I was about 35.
